 liquid mycelium already spawned?

I innoculated 2 jars of honey water about 8-10 hours ago...and theres already what appears too be white hairs floating around(def not spores and I didn't have the jars open long enough for dust too get in or anything)..so my question....is it possible the spores have already germinated? I never expected too see results this fast

anyone? I swear the hairs are getting bigger and theres more of em now too...if it is indeed mycelium I can't believe how fast it grows in honey water

8-10 hours is a little quick for germination.
Although i have had some spores germinate inside a syringe (no clue how) and when innoculated with that syringe growth appeared very fast.
THe only thing i can think of that made my spores germinate inside the syring was that once i had used that syringe for a honey water solution and some how some honey remained aafter my cleaning.

I dunno what too think...they look like white thin hairs...like lil rhizomorphs floating around....and there seems to be quite a bit....also I checked the jars before hand and there was nothing inside...I used spring water too be sure I could see the mycelium when the spores germinated cause my tap water is very hard and often has white chunks floating around in it...I used very good organic honey...maybe this is why so fast?
EDIT: I just checked again and the hairs are definitely growing...I just am in awe at how fast this is....seems to good to be true

it can happen mine did that. i still waited till things got a bit more in the jar before i used it

ya I plan too as well...but I'm just very impressed with how fast the spores germinated....and btw this was from a syringe of eq and the other was from a print of malabar...and they both seem to be about the same in progress so far

yeah that sounds abot what mine did dog its pretty cool aint it. with a magnafing glass u can actully see the gremanating its cool

did u sterlize the honey water?
did u use a glovebox or flow hood?
if not, then i would put my money on contamination...

I sterlized the honey water and sprayed the room I was in with lysol...I doubt its contam...it looks like shroom mycelium rhizos too me

I didnt read all through the post but 8 - 10 hours is VERY FAST. But I saw germination in 1 of mine within a day, so why not 10 hours instead of 24. Keep it around and see what happens. Take a little whiff from the innoculating holes if you want. Stinky = contam.

Have seen people say that 16 hours was the fastest they saw growth, but i doubt they checked it every few minutes, for 16 horus, could have very well been less

I'd say, make a test run with one PF jar to check if the stuff in your honey water actually ?s mycelium. If it's some kind of contam, you should be able to spot it fairly quickly when it's growing in a jar.

I just injected some liquid myc into a jar for testing...but I got a question...when I sucked up the liquid none of the strands went into the syringe...I tried twice and they were all swirling in the area I was sucking but none got sucked up...is this a prob or is that normal?
