I know that straight verm is not the best option for a casing layer but I would like to do some experiment with it adding gypsum and C.carbonate... what would be the recommended percentage of both by volume?

Straight verm is a VERY poor casing layer. It tends to compact down. It does not have much air space in it. If you have PERLITE, add about 30%. If you have coir, add about 5%.
That will get you far better consistency.
A bit of oyster shell flour, mixed in, will suffice. Since there is no peat in the mix.

The best improvement to a verm casing is to mix it half and half with peatmoss. As agar said, vermiculite is poor by itself, regardless of if you use gypsum. I wouldn't use lime because verm is already neutral. RR

im having a bitch of time finding the right kind of lime for a casing layer, i have verm and gypsum and can get peat moss. how necassary is the lime if i use 50/50 verm/peat ? i didnt want to go that route cause i thought you needed the lime with the peat moss but if 50/50 verm/peat is better than straight verm ill go ahead and do that instead.

Mal, do you have any plant nurseries in your area? You should be able to pick it up easy as pie there
