Hey ... havne't I seen these somewhere before?
Seriously though, I see some old ones there. What's your oldest? I saw one of the bigger ones dated for 1980. It also looks like you have some locality data on some. Those are some sexiful Lophs. Let us see more of your collection!!!

A question, the plants on the first photo are verry green. I bought them a few weeks ago from a guy who doesn't want to take care of them and gave them way to much furtelizer in my opinion. And I was wondering is it possible that over time these cacti will get there bleuish collor back? And what is the best way to do that?

My oldest is an import from in 1960 atleast that is what the seller told me.
When I repoted this plant the roots where massive I think arround a 1.5cm (0,5 inch) smaller then the pot is on the picture.
It is funny though it is my oldest plant but not the biggest :p

Who would want to sell or eat these beauties is my question.
I don't understand how such a beautiful cactus can be made illegal. I bet you 95% of Lophophora williamsii growers, don't even grow them to eat. More so to preserve and own such a beautiful endangered species.

The hairs will fall off when you grow lophophora outsight but you know that. I wish I could do that would be nice to have a few beautiful natural cacti as well. To bad that the weather in holland is not good enough to grow these puppies outsight.
Just seeded about 250 seeds of own fruits. I wonder what will be left after 3 years haha:)

in the garden? I suppose I'll be searching, He always brought great content of his to the garden forum.
Sometimes I feel like the garden has a lot less really active posters posting things other than "what's wrong with my plant", or "what kind of cactus is this?"

We're still fairly early in the season for many posters. It should be pretty good as we move into summer plus a fair number of people decide to post in Culinary Arts/Gardening instead of here. There's also been a exodus of some members to other forums (not just from the EG). Only you can prevent forest fires to post your garden pictures here.
