Nope...It's a culture garden. The funging has already been done.

Later this fall or early spring, I will make 3 or 4 outdoor beds. I am going to try morel, king stropharia and one or two more species. I am also going to lean shittake logs against the fence. The garden gets at least 12 hours of sunlight a day; it can really bake the moisture out of the soil back there. I have yet to figure out if I will artificially shade the fungus garden or plant my veggies in the fungus garden.

Thanks @cro, here are some more pics.

These are of Transkei.

These are from a patch Shroominsmurf and I started on 7/26. The strain is USVI. 15 gallons horse dung compost was spawned with 8 Qt's white millet.

It looks like my allowance has reached its limit.

Enjoy!

It has been in the high 80's to 90's for the last month here. Today was only 80 or so. I am going to make one more bed soon of KS. I checked out the average temps and I should be able to grow through the end of September (my fingers are crossed) as the temps are close to what they average in June. A friend started a bed in June with good success.

Here are some pics that Shroominsmurf took of our outdoor bed. Some of the pics are a bit out of focus due to a setting on my cam that he did not know about. Digital cameras can be tricky to use, especially when you have never used a particular model before.

I think this picture is pretty awesome, good job Shroominsmurf!

Friends do share. Would you like to sample some outdoor agaricus mushrooms I grew recently?

Send me a PM, I may be cruising through your town this weekend.

We might as well be.

Check out these pics friend.

These are some huge outdoor USVI near the river.

These beauties are from another bed in a different location.

I will have more pics as soon as my allowance replenishes.

Enjoy for now!!
