Hopefully you realize that AM is toxic, is not living bread, and certainly not the manna referred to in the Torah.  Much of the misguided stuff on A.M. comes from James Arthur, an old and now deceased friend of mine.  I'm pretty sure even he was convinced otherwise near the end of his life.

It's also mycorrhizal so AM requires a living tree host.  You won't fruit it on grains.

I'm sick of hearing that AM is toxic, to be honest. I want FACTS, not words.
Look over the web, see if you can find ONE person who tried to make this bread, ate it and died or got intoxicated. As of my knowledge no one is trying this.

Just to make things clear: from what i'm making there won't be growing any mushrooms; there won't be any AM. It will stay at the mycelium stage.

I am not afraid of dying, even though I seriously doubt anything bad will happen. A friend who I'm making this project had one going for 8 months and now I want to keep track and shed light over the subject.

Also I consider it as being a sacred plant, and I know that IT must accept you; only then you will know the Soma.

I need to know the truth and to show it to everyone. It is one episode in my journey of discovering the secrets that mother nature provides.

Love and blessings !

So what did it taste like?  I tried and it acidifies my mouth,  I did not see signs of contamination.  I need someone else's input.  In doubt, I did not eat enough to judge on the effects.  There's a bunch of threads which lead to no conclusion.  If it's true, then why isn't there anybody explaining this in greater detail than Don Teeter?

hi -

it's so 'simple' that most of us fail because, we as highly trained and specialized humand in certain fields rather than the whole, are making things more complicated than they have to be.

imagine the time and tools the ancient had to prepare their 'resurrection' of the sacred mushroom. fire, water, earth, wind. no glass, i feel. no synthetic disinfectants, rubber gloves yadayadayada.

i had failed many times and was going to throw away the 'last attempt' after (in my opinion too) many days of waiting, meditating and yes, praying around my jars of inoculated barley. that morning, leaving for a mission in tyrol, i observed what must have been 'the living bread'.

long story short: my previous attempts had been messed up by

a.) too little patience with the development from dried mushroom to living bread
(it takes longer from mushroom to bread than bread to bread)

b.) mushrooms that had been dried too hot (that seems to break the spores, although
spores are supposed to endure higher temperatures than, let's say, plant seeds) or had
not been colonized by the life form (in case it is a life form that lives inside the amanitas
    - if one could set the fleece free, burry it around birch or pine trees and see amanita fruit
some fall afterwards, we'd be sure this is the amanita mycelium...

c.) not knowing that i had been looking at the fleece, but saw it as mold (they look alike,
but nose, then mouth test would give you certainty, molds smell nasty, the living bread
has a fruity, yet barley'y kind of smell

d.) too wet of a medium inside jars only open to one side - i'm now growing it in sieves put in
a glass bowl, covered with a wet towel or napkin which i re-wet if necessary. the bread
tells you what it wants, just like a plant, an animal or your loved ones would. i sometimes
hang these sieves outside over night to expose it to lower temps and the humidity of the
    night.

e.) tab-water that might have had chlorine or other 'cleaning' chemicals in it

f.) factors i have not yet fully discovered, but why dig in the past of errors, when there is a
present and future of successful cultivation...

i will post a detailed manual that shows my preferred way, although there are uncountable ways to work with this divine helper. teeter's way works perfectly, but as it goes with techniques, some are more convenient than others and that is purely individual.

one experience that blew my mind was the experiment with siberian barley. the fungus appeared to remember his heritage and thanked me with incredibly fast and strong growth as well as potency. it might just be an illusion and the other factors were in favor of the development of the wanted result.

compared to growing psilocybe variations, this really appears ridiculously 'dirty', which proofs that the amannita muscaria is the supreme fungi. i've grown it on barley, rye, left over spaghetti, a bakery's low quality croissant, a mix of ground emmer and honey, emmer and cream. the only medium that would not be considered 'worth living on' was a low quality baklava i had received from my turkish 'grandmother' - i'm convinced the preservatives kept it from colonizing on the sad piece of pastry.

have a great weekend and mush love from the land of the brews aka bavarea369
