Sandboxing
    #16092607 - 04/15/12 08:20 AM (11 years, 9 months ago)

Sandboxing is a way to isolate processes to avoid malware attacks.  Google Chrome uses this and some people claim to have hacked it.  Google has released patches for this.  I tried downloading Google Chrome and its fast.  Any advice on the use of sandboxing?

Which Browser Should You Use?
Not all Web browsers are created equal. Some are faster; some are more versatile; others are especially secure. We tested six leading browsers to learn where each one excels…and fails.

I use chroot to sandbox processes that I don't trust.  Its pretty secure as long as the kernel is up to date and there are no SUID executables.  I am not sure how to sandbox stuff on windows.
