Terrarium question

Ol boy down the road from me bought a "Soul Food Machine" awhile back and had crappy luck with contamination...he says this time he's gonna use sterile jars and case...has anybody used this thing with any luck? If so, how many jars should I case into it? And whats the best way to keep it sterile? It's a little big to work on in a glove box. Thanks for any help.

maybe I'm going to get a "read the FAQ!" but what is a "Soul Food Machine?" And how do you use one as a terrarium?

If you are taking about PF tek jars, it depends on your personal preference. You can case as many as you want, but just keep in mind that if you loose a casing that has 100 cakes in it, your 100 cakes are gone forever. I case about 2 cakes per casing.

Damn $139. Drop that thing and trade it for something else. Someone might be able to use it to a fuller extent if you keep getting contams. Stick with simple procedures and you will do perfectly.

Yeah, Ol Boy thought he could at least use it as a Terrarium it might do alright but he doesn't know for sure how many jars to use.
