My pet rat has some allens strain colonising very quickly now we dont know anything about this strain and we are seeking knowelege on how to grow and mabe some history.
Are they P. cubes?, optimum conditions ?how to cold shock??  
Can anyone help???

You would grow this like any other Cubensis strain.
This strain of Cubensis was found by my good friend...Ethnomycologist John W. Allen (mjshroomer).
It was found in Ban Taling Ngam, Thailand.
No need to cold shock them...IMHO

AFOAF grew some Allen a few months back... he had many mutant/disformed shrooms grow with this stain. But he said they we're really good in potency and really enjoy he experience with these shrooms.
He grew them on the standard BRF cakes, then cased. He said on average, the shrooms that were produced we a tad smaller then the other strains he was growing at the time.

Yeah I think they are smaller than most others, anybody know there scientific name if they have one. Also has any one done a growlog or have pictures cant find anything on the search??
MJ did not find them but they where named after him.

oh
you mean Koh Suami right !
this is the first and only(to this date) shroom I have grown
I did think the shroomies were a little small to , then again my first cake had a MONSTER shroom
anyway I am going to use Lipa Yai next time
still love the koh saumi though

It was found in Ban Taling Ngam, Thailand Says roadkill above.
So I dont think it is the same as koh samui most likely a similar shroom though.

Incorrect. The Allen was discovered by John Allen (MJ).
They were named by myself and Hydrogen (a TLG associate).

Hmmm, I'm confused.
MJ told me in January that the original print was given to a friend of Hydrogen and that they originated in Ban Taling Ngam, Koh Samui, Surat Thani, Thailand and that they were named in honour of himself.
Road was kind enough to send me a print and I found it to be very agressive in its growth and damn potent too.

Yes, the print was given to a friend of Hydrogen (from MJ) who then had Hydrogen do the isolation work.
After working with it and discovering it's positives we decided to give it a unique name. I suggested the Allen strain and either Hydrogen or his friend (doesn't matter which one) asked John for permission and he gave the ok.
The Allen strain was then introduced and marketed for the first time at TLG.
The main thing I believe is that the friend would like to remain unidentified.
