Too much mycelium waste?
    #1609222 - 06/04/03 10:16 PM (13 years, 11 months ago)

I believe mycelium-colonized dung tends to 'piss' more than on other substrates.. If I'm wrong there, correct me.

When is there too much mycelium piss? Is there any way to tell?

Rice- to pee-sized droplets scattered randomly in the frequency of about 1-2 per square centimeter too much?

Also, what is an effective way to reduce/remove mycelium pee from the substrate? Holes drilled into the bottom of the container don't seem to be very effective.

        I'm not an experienced cultivator but due to stuff i learned here, i can say from poke smot's writing in past forums;
"Sometimes the substrate will squeeze yellow pee out. I wouldn't use it though - Urea is what the fungus breaks down nitrogen compounds into, I believe. Same with the human body. Basically, it is waste product. "

    So you can say dung has more nitrogen compounds in it than any other grain.......... I just can't say more.... I'm obviously less experienced than you and wouldn't want to disrespect anyone. Consider it as reminding.  :smile:
