Man, Thai Samou Super Strain is a strain i am going to avoid lol. The fruits were so small and alot of them weird and mutated, I thought it was MY fault, or that the humidity was too low or the sub was messed up. Come to find out thats how TSSS is, just a odd ball strain. Ill stick to what i know next time. TSSS i heard is potent, its just not a very good fruiter,it does produce some short fat ass mushrooms though, a shit ton of aborts as well. oh well, back to the old drawing board...

Has anyone had experience growing the Oak Ridge strain? It was suggested that this strain mutates a lot with cross shaped holes/indents on top of the caps.

Has anyone heard of a strain called Eastern Amazon?
It was a strain you got free in the mail as a promo in the early 80s from FMRC from stephen peele. ^^^^^That is all I was told about it^^^^^

Im not sure about that, but from what it seems new cubes are found all the time, im going to do some searching this year up in the Upper Pennisula of Michigan and see if i can find any new "strains", would be sweet. Im sure they have TONS of different 'strains' in the Amazon. I wouldnt doubt if they had shrooms that ate small animals lol, maybe its gills have teeth on it idk...

ralphsters has a few good specials. 12 asian stains for 100 bucks, 6 mexican strains for 50 bucks, and another one with texas cambo brazil planque amazonian transkei, for 50 bucks.
I was wondering if anyone has experience with the asian strains, mexican strains, or the others. i am trying to decide which pack to get. i want something that is fairly fast, visual, and a longer lasting study than most. can anyone give me any advice on any of these strains.

I am so glad you asked.
They are all cubes. They will all make you trip if you eat enough. They all grow in the same conditions. The yield between strains tends to average out.
The main difference between cubes is their appearance. If you buy a bunch of cubes with origins in the same region, you likely won't see many differences from strain to strain.
The $50 combo sounds like it has the most diversity between strains.
But for REAL diversity, you may want to look at the mutant cubes, albinos, red spores, Penises... etc.

ya, i've thought that about strains from the same region too. thanks for your input. i know a cube is a cube, but when it comes time to munch down, there is a very noticable difference between some strains.

Sure there can be. There is no science proving these differences have to do with strain. Potency can vary from grow to grow and even flush to flush.
Mindset plays such a large role in tripping, it can skew the science. If you think a cube is extra potent, it will likely feel extra potent.
If there were a super potent cube strain, this community would agree about it.
Only a few strains are famous for their potency, Transeki is one (but again no science) Penis Envy is another (almost universally agreed upon to be more potent than average).
When you compare the potency of cubes to the potency of other magic species, the differences between cube strains seem quite mild in comparison.
How you feel when you trip and where you are when you trip, and weather you have or haven't tripped in a good while, have much more to do with the outcome of your trip than strain.

As a lot of people keep on saying, it varies from trip to trip, from flush to flush, from sub-strain to sub-strain, and SFAIK FWIW YMMV (but do try this at home) it's all down to the ratios of the various alkaloids.
That said, what really isn't in doubt is that a few strains consistently beat the others for potency, and that the PE strains beat all the others for potency most of the time.
Call it research, or call it a hell of a good time, but whatever you call it, just try it.

Ive never been a fan of PE, when i took them in the past i thought they were alright, ive always been a fan of golden teachers, tasmanians, and amazonians... but thats my personal preference. Alot of people get siked out on shrooms, play mental games with thereselves and end up making shit end up better than it actually....
