longineu parsons from Yellowcard, is by far the MOST UNDERRATED drummer i know of. and i dont even like yellowcard that much. but regardless, his style, soul, and drumming ability far surpass many greats. if only he was in a better band without fangirls that only give credit to the lead singer

I don't follow drummers much I know what I like but I couldn't tell you the names of half the drummers I've heard and enjoyed.
As for the ones that do always stick in my head:
Ian Paice Bill Ward Steve Jordan Jay Lane Danny Carey Deantoni Parks

I feel like there aren't any videos that I can find that do them justice, but I saw Rangda like a year and a half ago and Chris Corsana just blew my fucking mind. They all blew my fucking mind. It was so good. I don't even listen to the album very much anymore because it just doesn't even come close to how powerful it was seeing them in person.
You can at least see how stupid fast his hands are. He also likes to play with a mini gong hanging from his mouth. His precision is pretty impressive. I bet he has some ridiculous single-, double-, and triple- stroke rolls.

Glad I put a smile on your dial man.
There are some amazing street performers in the world, and I am very lucky to live somewhere that has some really awesome ones.
The street drummer I posted is crazy good. Just trying to find his name again, lots of videos of him on youtube. Here is another good one:

wow... very cool man.. he's good too... there are some good pail drummers in Manhattan... i'm going to be in the area may 23 at webster hall, maybe even sooner if luck plays a role so i'll try and roam and film some that i can find and post them if i'm lucky... i just noticed you're doing the folding project... i'm setting up a spare computer at the moment with stripped windows... i'm just waiting for my friend to drop off an Ethernet card he has laying around... i want to wire it instead of wireless since it'll be like 15 feet from the router... i have a 2.8 gig processor and a half a gig of ram... i can put a gig in it... does ram play a role in this? i'm not a computer wiz, that's why i'm asking... i'm going to operate it with the sides off for heat dissipation and my buddy gave me this bizarre looking heat sink for cooling that i installed already... i'm going to try and figure out how to configure it so it runs flat out process so i can catch up to Ythan... i need a KVM switch with cables too so i don't have to dedicate a monitor, keyboard and mouse... eBay has tons of KVM switches but none with cables...
is ram important? let me know... and a big hey hey to jewunit, i haven't forgotten about you buddy!!! it's just that i'm busy and have like dozens of shroomery PM's to get out... i'm gonna send yours out first though since we were into a cool topic...

I need to get back onto the folding@home dealio, stopped when my last pc died and I haven't set it back up again.
From what I could read RAM isn't critical with actually getting good scores, but you can run into trouble with some of the larger packets of information. These can be disabled in the settings though by changing "bigpackets=yes" to "bigpackets=no". I'd probably give it a shot with the memory you have you can always chuck more in later if it's struggling.

very cool, thanks... hey! check out my Meytal thread... i'm about to upload one from the past month... i haven't spent any real time here or on Utube but i found a cool upload of hers with Jordan Rudess... he's playing an iPad keyboard app...
hopefully i'll find time this weekend to run and crimp a new cat line to the ethernet card... it'll be nice to participate on the folding project on behalf of the shroomery...
