Here's an interesting fellow...
Edgar Cayce was able to put himself into a meditative trance and supposedly channelled information that provided hundreds of correct medical and psychological diagnoses to the people he was asked about. He also had many pre- and retrocognitions that were proved true after his death.
Anybody know more about this guy?

I know I'd need some references or links... to REAL evidence.

Hey Headroom, Yeah, Edgar Cayce was pretty popular. However, I read somewhere (wish I had the reference) that many of his predictions etc were wrong. Nevertheless, I think I also read that something like 60 or 80 % of his dreaming revelations were correct (but I'm not too sure - don't quote me on this).

I'm still skeptical of Cayce myself... try doing a search on Google, you'll get tons of info, and some links to books that you can buy or borrow. I've spent most of today just reading about him, pretty fascinating.

Edgar Cayce was a wonderful soul who helped many thousands of people. Every case is well documented. He was a devout service-to-other being, who after discovering and developing his abilities.. dedicated himself to healing others. In his short life he helped thousands of individuals and families. By putting himself in the trance state and "seeing" the problem within individuals, he was able to find the cure for many cases in which medical science at his time had no explanation for. Many of his treatments were seen as unorthodox, involving many kinds of herbs and natural remedies, and they were quite effective. To say he was a fraud is rubbish, because the cases are well documented in which he has found the correct treatments to cure patients who were said by current doctors to be doomed. He did some predictions on the side, but his main mission was in helping and healing people.
Thus his early death. He pushed himself to the limits and was in the trance state most of the time.. healing others more than himself. This caused a rapid aging process, and by the time he was 30 he had the same brain as an 80 year old man.
All respect to those who dedicate themselves fully to the service-of-others.

Actually I think he was around 70 when he died, but he did the trance thing for forty years of his adult life. Observing his brain after death had the wrinkles of a 100+ year old human.
