Satan vs. Jesus

I've never been able to buy into the whole dichotimization of light and dark, good and evil, intellectually it is not practical. Intuitively and experientially I feel this to be far more accurate.-
Am I the only one who finds this picture absurdly amusing? I really can't take it seriously. (I really just made this post to share this...)

reminds me of this
Those who restrain desire, do so because theirs is weak enough to be restrained; and the restrainer or reason usurps its place & governs the unwilling. And being restrain'd it by degrees becomes passive till it is only the shadow of desire. The history of this is written in Paradise Lost, & the Governor or Reason is call'd Messiah. And the original Archangel or possessor of the command of the heavenly host, is call'd the Devil or Satan and his children are call'd Sin & Death. But in the Book of Job Miltons Messiah is call'd Satan. For this history has been adopted by both parties. It indeed appear'd to Reason as if Desire was cast out, but the Devil's account is, that the Messiah fell, & formed a heaven of what he stole from the Abyss.

I see Jesus as the son of god. We are all sons of god. Satan would be the dark side of each individual.

Do you feel there is any true dichotomy between these aspects of self or spirit?

I don't think so, but also, I'm aware that I don't really know.

I think there's no winners in this game. Nature always works toward balance and we're part of it.

I think your picture says it.
can there be good without evil?
creation without destruction?
life without death?
perhaps it is the opposing forces that bring existence?
without them are we are eternally one body?

those ideas seem based more on the way the human mind works than on any thing more general

The usual understanding of the Satan V Jesus is not correct at all. Satan leads people into temptation, or sin. Jesus forgives sin. They are not opposing forces. They are on opposite ends of a never ending cycle. The idea that Satan is "evil" is not really correct. He does not run around the earth doing evil things, humans do... Satan just wants everyone to know that they do not have to listen to God. What you do after that is your own choice. Jesus is not all "good" either. His birth caused the slaughter of a ton of infants. He ran off on his parents when he was 7ish causing them all kinds of anguish... He flipped out in the temple, knocking over tables, causing a ruckus. He questioned God twice right before he was betrayed. Then there is the 25ish other years he was alive... Who knows what he did then. The western world is great at assigning things to categories; good or evil, black or white. What about all of the other colors? Why is black evil? Black is a combo of all colors, white is the absence of color. Shouldn't white be evil? White being devoid of everything, empty, etc. Dead bodies are white, decomposition usually results in a white color. So much more. I should stop. I have trouble communicating ideas on paper...

I see it more of truth vs delusion. Same thing for Mara and Buddha. Delusion isn't an opposite of truth.

It's all relative, good/evil are just opposite sides of the same coin. Heads depends on what side of coin is facing up.
That imagine is entertaining, but I can't take it seriously either. It might have taken on more depth if the backgrounds were switched. Having the devil sit in the light and jesus in the dark, well at a first glance that would have been more interesting.

Satan is like an individual who denies the truth that everything has to return to the source/God. The luciferian ideal is actually something to strive towards though because that's where greatness lies...the mortal quest to become like a god.
