Day or Night?

The Day is words and rage. The Day is order, earth and gold. It is the philosophers in their cities; It is the map-makers in their wastelands. It is roads and milestones, It is panic, laughter and sobriety; White, and all enumerated things. It is flesh; it is revenge; it is visibility.
The Night is blue and black. The Night is silence, poetry and love. It is the dancers in their grove of bones, It is all transforming things. It is fate, it is freedom. It is masks and silver and ambiguity, It is blood; it is forgiveness; It is the invisible music of instinct. --Fasher Demerondo The Division of the HoursWhich appeals to you more? The night holds more appeal at the moment.
Another time it might be day, though that is more a matter of attendance. Day is the poles sustaining my temporary shelter. It is an inevitable place to which I journey, a busy bazaar packed with easily yielded amusements and practicality. Night is my domain. Night is the journey.
Crowds and Shadows
Threading the crowds and shadows of the street My feet are fast in searching, but for what? In tillage of the mind, from ancient sowing, Thought grows in images that hint the root Dark in the earth and buried past my seeing,-- Rain gathered in red apples after drought, And sun that quivers through the leaves of trees And burns on lifted faces, and boys saying 'The clouds are off the mountains, look, the snow Is light made solid,' and the wind that tries To crack the withered boughs from dying elms,-- Sighing for these, and want from which they grew, Nothing I find, but beggars asking alms Among the crowds and shadows of the street

both/neither/other
i love the birth of a new morning i love the death of the day i feel they symbolize our own life & death in many details the day is full of activity & a vast range of things to experience, extroverted - 'living' the night slows down, becomes more introverted & the stars come out so the potential for universal self recognition increases - 'dying'
i love the silence night can bring i love it when the majority of people are sleeping, everything becomes so quiet i don't see it often but when i do that is my favorite time of day/night

The still air wakens Bats bring night in I step into my grey skin Shadows passing shadows As catacombs crawl out from their musk As dusk fades Antiquities and mysteries gather in the glade The moon rises over all But by the stars she has been framed

I've always been somewhat of a night stalker. If you've never done a night nature hike on a low dose of mushrooms, I implore you.

Your description makes the night sound better so I chose it, in reality I love the dawn though. Though it's all the better if you greet it after staying up through the night.

Those lecherous moments when you awake, Sometimes in the bed, Sometimes on the floor, And wonder upon Someday:
Is it a dark evening?
Or is it dark morning?

No that you mention it, twilight and dawn are probably my favorite. Contrast.

Night is allot less noisy for me. Less voices. Less psychic activity. Pretty peaceful.
