highest yielding mushroom?

I know this isnt the right forum but I couldnt post in the mushroom cultivation forum for some reason. But I just wanted to know what strain is the highest yielding with the pf tek and when you havest should you take all the mushrooms off the cake even though the caps arent open but others are?

After the caps open many people agree a mushroom starts to lose its magic.

Strains are different. www.thehawkseye.com has lots of strain info. B+ is fruitful, and cambos too, and also good for a beginner.

Fruiting isnt really what you want for maximized yields. I would say that a fast colonizer would be your best bet. half your time is spent waiting for colonization. Go poke around at the hawks eye, i remember reading aobut a mushroom that colonized a whole compost heap in 5 days. 5 DAYS! that is fucking insane. That would take over the world in like... 3 months lol.

All psilocybe cubenis strains are comparable under similar conditions. The yield depends on your skills as a cultivator and the environment you provide.

The best strain is by personal preference.

to a extent, yes. However some species are a bit slower then others. Get the right conditions and they will be up in no time. good luck! :smile:

You want high yields, you need a good cloned species. Are you after weight or abundance? Cloned isolates work best. Here are malabar clones grown on composted straw and dung. Spawned with colonized wbs and popcorn



Fresh harvest weight 26&1/2 oz's. All tossed into a compost heap and recyled :smirk:
