Importance of invitro primordia.
    #1605191 - 06/03/03 03:09 PM (20 years, 8 months ago)

I have this friend who is very happy, they have about 4 or 5 cakes that are ready to be fruited... the mycelium is 100% covering the substrate, but my friend is confused. In the PF TEK for simple minds it says to pull the cakes out of your incubator for a while and wait for primordia to form, in the normal PF TEK it says leave the cakes in your incubator and wait for primordia, some TEK's don't even wait for primordia. Should my friend just leave the cakes and wait for primordia to form in the incubator, or try to fruit them without waiting or what? Any feedback would be great thanks.

Its not mandatory. If the cakes if fully colonized and there is still no primordia, birth it anyways. Or you could wait for the pin heads to form, its soley your preference. I birith no matter what after the cake is colonized.

Nice. I think my friend will proceed to birthing. The cakes are really healthy and nice looking.
