Some poppy Pix, and questions...
    #1605541 - 06/03/03 06:51 PM (13 years, 6 months ago)

So here are some pictures of my Nigirum poppies. I bought the seeds from poppies.org, and it took 3 months to get them, but I finally got them and planted them like 2-3 months ago...I cant really remember when.

Looks like I only have a few more days until they flower. Pictures are good quality, try clicking on them...

Now I was driving, and I found a patch of poppies. Are these poppies pods good for extraction of good stuff, or what?

Some MJ plants that just sprouted from thowing some seeds in the ground...

Nice pictures and nice looking poppies you have there in the first four pictures angryshroom. From what I can tell the ones you found driving are inactive. I have seen MJ sprout up in the most unlikely places from just throwing seeds.. Great pictures as always. Thanks for sharing

wouldn't be 100% sure of inactivity ... let them fully mature, then make tea, can't go that wrong ....

They've actualy got those pink and red poppys planted all along the medians on the interstate and in the city around Gainesville, GA.
When I first saw them I thought "SCORE!"... Then I figured out they were probably Papaver orientale. =\

You know, I made a mistake and put them in a planter. I just read how the roots like to grow lateral, and they like lots of surface space between them. There are about 5 small ones that you can't see in the picture which actually died because of the competition with the larger plants.

Kinda sucks, but, at least those big ones are certainly good sized.

Olg...I wish you were here so you could help me test out the goods...make sure its satisfactory

Oh, and also: When these plants die, I can dry the leafs/stems and make tea, correct?

Dunno about the leaves, but you can definiteally make tea with the stems, but it won't be as strong as the pods.  I once saved about 40 stems and made tea with it, wasn't too strong, but had some kick to it none the less.  :smirk:
