What to do now?
    #1605010 - 06/03/03 04:31 PM (13 years, 6 months ago)

ive got some cakes that have begun to pin. i just want to know if casing them (probably not whole but cut) is a very good idea. ive got casings that have been doing wonderfully, so i think i would rather have casings than cakes. i figure it would probably cause the pins to about but i dont really care about - there really isnt very many. i am not sure. so if you can help direct me to the best path to take i would appreciate it very much.
meg and osh.

Cutting the cake in 1/2 will def stun the cake as a whole an probably cause the pins to abort. If you like casing better and it seems to produce more, go for it. Do it soon though, you dont want thos pins to grow and use up all the nutriets when it could be used during the incubation/fruiting process of their new casing. Just rip the mushys from the cakes and eat them.
