Dawg I hate when that happens, especially when dangerous drugs aren't involved.

we had some pretty large channel cats bat in NY... I live right near the Minnesota River in Burnsville... the water is a nasty brown/orange color...

I'm going down to the Mississippi once I finish my beans. Don't have my fishing pole with me though. My reel is intact but I need a new pole. I should go get that taken care of.

I always buy cheap ugly sticks since I always break the tips off of whatever rod I have while walking from spot to spot...
my fly rod is from Orvis, one of the blank kits you have to put together yourself. It's awesome, and if I ever broke it I would be heartbroken. It took a long time to assemble.

That's exactly how I broke mine. I've never gone fly fishing before, I'd love to give that a try sometime, although in my head it seems a little less relaxing than just casting and letting it sit.

it depends where you are fishing... if its late august and the trout are running, it is action packed. If its early april and you are fly fishing in a lake for pike that are feeding in the shallow waters its a lot of work to land one fish in a day.
It is a great feeling being chest deep in water and fishing. I do not know how to explain it... It is my form of 'Church'.
Only draw back to fly fishing is there is no where to set down your beer!
