Xbox 360 new models are now fixed from most problems, specifically RLOD and YLOD
PS3 is newer than Xbox 360...

Persoanlly ive always kinda liked the 360 over the ps3 but thats just me. Nothin like a fat bowl and some halo on xbox live...chillest night ever when u just wanna relax

Get both, that way you don't have to decide at all.
I have both and both have their ups and downs. I prefer the PS3 though personally.

I like ps3 better than 360 personally
But if I had to recommend any game sysytem I would say get a Wii 
Wii has almost every game for most systems and you can download original games from the original systems like NES,SNES,N64 and more onto the system. I have all the mario games downloaded on my wii.
Wii is also fun as fuck to play while tripping

PS3. But they just recently announced that they're putting out a new XBox and Playstation in 2013. So I think prices for the current systems might come down soon?

Also the xbox360 version of Street Fighter X Tekken in particular does not allow you to play online co-op from one console, but the PS3 version does. This is not true for all xbox games, but an annoyance if you happened to be someone who was looking forward to this.

Im surprised anyone cares about the graphical prowess of these two systems anymore, they're real inferior to the PC at this point.
As for the anti-used game technology being discussed for the next generation of systems, if true I will not purchase them. That's an immediate deal breaker for me.
