Dog poo = bad.

Dog poo isnt like cow or horse manure. Cows and horses eat grass, nothing else, so their diet is clean and non-oily. Dogs have a much different diet, much oilier.

You would have been better off with just a shallow hole. The dog feces will likely contaminate.

Also, cubenis is a grain loving species. Use the manure of grain eating animals.

Sounds to me that putting your contaminated cakes in the garden is always better than throwing them away. This way, you at least have a chance (perhaps small, but a chance anyway) that the mycelium will spread and fruit.

However, I agree with the other posters that dog-poo isn't the best substrate to grow psilo on. I'd put the cakes in a shallow grave under some trees/bushes, where some natural compost is formed.

This was a chunk of substrate that was pulled from a casing when harvesting(oops!).
Wrapped in a paper towel, and thrown in a pile at the edge of the woods with praire dog poo, pine shavings, and everything else that contams.

Paper towel worked really well. Might be worth trying again if you have something to throw out.
