tie your dick to a ceiling fan and claim you heard someone at the store say it was an erotic device. Sue manufacturer for warning label.

You would have to prove that they aren't the best burgers in the world. Seeing how that's subjective it can't be done.
Also, I hope you're not seriously contemplating any of the above.
you got to convince the jury the burgers arnt the best

Because of her, I have to be reminded how stupid society is and read "warning: contents may be hot" on every damn cup of coffee.
Actually, that was a very legitimate lawsuit if you look at the details of it. She spilt bit on her lap (of course McDonalds had to now that people are going to spill some occasionally), and had to spend weeks in the hospital and get tons of skin graphs. McDonalds was brewing their coffee at a much higher temperature than any other chain just so they could use a slightly smaller amount of coffee beans pure cup. They deserved to be sued for such unsafe practices. And she originally just wanted McDonalds to pay for her hospital expenses but they refused.

you want to hear an example of how retarded the law can be at times??
look at the OJ simpson case. as you all know he was charged with murder, and acquitted, not guilty.
he was then sued in a civil suit by his family, for the same issue, and lost due to the lower standard of proof required in civil cases. he had to payout millions of dollars for something he was found not to be criminally responsible for.
whats the moral of the story?? sue your family members if they are rich and murder other family members

1) Suing a restraunt chain that has a "best burgers in the world" sign on the window. Clearly this is a blatant lie and perhaps you could get away with a false advritising charge?
2) Suing someone in my Gym locker room. Think about it what in the hell makes the locker room such a holy place where suddenly nudity laws are thrown out the window? Perhaps I could get away with filing a sexual harassment charge? Or maybe mental trauma from having to stare at some old guys wang?
3) Pulling toilet paper off the top shelf at walmart, only to have all the 24 double strength rolls fall on top of my head Maybe claiming PTSD from the whole experiance would prove value worthy?
Any keepers?
Get a job.

I know someone that sued wal-mart because he got shot with a bb gun inside there store....said that they didn't lock there stuff up good enough.......so you just have to go in walmart with a buddy and have him shoot you.....he will have to face legal issues for battery or somethin like that but you can both split the 100k......

QFT. Everyone thinks that was a frivilous lawsuit but few people have seen the photo of the victim's burns. They were gruesome.
McDonald's own records documented hundreds of previous cases of people being severely burned before the famous case was brought. The woman only sued for the cost of her medical bills (about ten grand) but the jury awarded her punitive damages because they felt it was the only way to get McDonald's attention and make them change their practices. So they awarded her the value of two days of McDonald's coffee sales, over $2 million.

Today Mcdonald's coffee is still served at around the same temperature as the cup that was in question in the lawsuit. The only difference is the use of larger warnings on the coffee cups. I'm certain that that warning has now completely prevented the risk of serious burns.
I still think that it was a stupid lawsuit, and I have read through some of the finer points of it. (just off wiki, so i still could be talking outta my ass ) Just because someone suffers severe injuries doesn't necessarily mean that a lawsuit is not stupid, or simply someone trying to make someone else culpable for their own actions. What happened in this case sounds like an accident to me; what happened could have happened to anyone, but to sue because your hot coffee was exactly that is fucking stupid IMO.
Also, as far as stupid lawsuits go, check out this page. I don't know if there all true or not though. http://listverse.com/2009/01/28/top-10-bizarre-or-frivolous-lawsuits/

This one cracks me up
Quote:
This is a true case of believe it or not. Christopher Roller, a resident of Minnesota sued David Blaine and David Copperfield – demanding that they reveal their secret magic tricks to him. He demanded 10% of their total income for life. The reason for the suit is that Roller believes that the magicians are defying the laws of physics, and thereby using godly powers. But it gets worse. Roller is suing not just because the magicians are using God’s powers – he is suing because he thinks he is God and therefore it is his powers they are stealing.
