I have run into a fellow shroomerite before while hunting, lol. Kind of sketchy and awkward at first, but once you ID each other it's pretty cool.

ventured out today and returned successful! found 34 ovoids along the hocking river in hocking county of ohio. two separate flushes.
Collection:

Habitat:

Pix I like:

I have many more pix but too lazy to load them into my gallery. I hope to return to this area again after the next good rain and warm temps. These fruits are not very big, and I believe its due to the cooler temps and lack of rain.
Enjoy

I'm sorry to post to post this, but does anyone know if psilocybin ovoid actually grows in Michigan. Yes, I read the basic wiki info and shroomery info which are the same and both say they grow in Michigan, but I've yet to actually read of someone finding them in Michigan. I mean, I did some google searches but I just keep on finding the basic wikipedia article that says they grow in South Eastern Michigan.Michigan and Ohio have the same climate, right? If they grow in Ohio they must grow in Michigan. If you have lots of knowledge about Psilocybin ovoid, and never heard of them being found in Michigan or haveheard of them being found please tell.

I think the seasons still early where I'm at in kentucky. I havnt found the grand haul like i've wanted to but i've found around 3g dry so far. Chances are if I find them in 2 places in the same creek they could be pretty widespread right? I've found them in the same spot flushing for 2 years now but not a big gregarious patch.

All i've found so far. I found 4 smaller ovoids probably 100 yaards away from this spot. Im thinking they are more widespread and im hoping to find the motherload but no huge gregarious patches yet

Oh......did you say Shroomery??

We just kinda knew I think. I did at least because we both knew of the same patch and I was in that park a lot. As soon as I noticed him looking down in the right spots I knew.

Seems like there's plenty of people from KY on here to me. I am just over the river in Ohio and I know there are a few people in this area that are on here.

Probably. I've been down by Cincinnati checking before. Over the river nonetheless. N-n-new-cough. I thought I might run into some shroomerites checking down there. I've personally had more success hunting in my local creeks then big rivers/tribituaries that feed off of the ohio. I've checked parts of the licking that I would say are PERFECT habitat and found nothing. I'm probably 10-15 miles south of cinci and having minor success thus far in the season. If you're in kentucky, get the fuck out there and look after some rain. I'm finding them in small local creeks.

Just went out again yesterday and had some great luck, took a buddy out on his first hunt. We found a good amount but there was seriously like at least a halfbag dry that we had to leave cause it was all rotten and coved in spider webs and stuff. Unfortunately I forgot my camera. Sucks too, there were some very nice photo ops.

This year has been great so far, found two new spots and have an ounce dry total, not to mention Ovoids usually haven't even popped up yet this time of year!

that's the spirit. there's nothing more rewarding to me than 1. getting out and finding something and 2. sharing the fruits with good friends. keep your spirits up.

Thanks, I just posted another version. It can't hurt to take those rotten ones to seed new habitat, they might have spores in them.

The wikipedia and shroomery info both say that this species does not grow in Michigan. Do you have any links that say that that it does? I would be happy to edit them to make them say that they do not.

Here is the official map:

The part of Michigan that touches Ohio is 200 miles from the closest recorded finds.
