Pinheads form but fail to develop

I first noticed pins 7 days ago. The rh is 85. I thought the RH is too low so i started spraying them down and now the casing has small pools in it and is wet. The pins got to about a cm in circumfrence but they look strabge not like healthy ones. The deformity looks kind of like natural sulfur not the color but the bulbous shapes. I put the tray to dry a little is this the right thing to do?

i dont know...i think air exchange helps keep aborts down maybe too moist or wet..i THINK you have to lower humidity a BIT while the fruit is visible...might not make a difference....or maybe its too low....85 is probably too low....

Oh yes and the casing is textbook overlay but it has pins all over. And the bulbous pins fuse together making it seem like natural sulfur in wet places or sort of like a califlower effect. The brown heads on the pins are covered with a thin mat of mycelium. The brown pins are uneven, meaning that there can be one head on the side of this bulbous structure and a half a head on the other side fused into the white of the previous. One head looks like its under the bulbous pin it looks like its growing totally upside down. This is the best I can do to explain them.

One more thing the black heads are much smaller then they should be. I have a couple of about a cm pins that have heads only about one tenth the size of the white mass.

I would think that the pins aborted from too much moisture and standing water. You did say you're casing right? I was under the impression that casings only required a humidity level of 80-85% and not higher. Cakes require the 90-100%, right?
