Copelandia "Pan" Cyanescens
    #1545083 - 05/13/03 12:26 PM (20 years, 11 months ago)

my friend cased p. cubensis and was happy with the flushes; they were big, heavy, and lots of mushrooms. after looking at some pictures, Copelandia "Pan" Cyanescens look really small and skinny. about how many grams, dry, would you get from a casing? (normal sized tupperware container) also, do you think they are more potent than p. cubensis? to get a level 5 trip from cubies, he takes around 5g. about how many grams of copelandia cyanescens would he have to take to acheive the same level. overall, i have been happy with cubies, even with my little experience. would you recommend trying a different genus (species?)?

overall, are copelandia cyanescens worth it?

p.s. is copelandia cyanescens also referred to as pan cyan? why?

Paneolus and Copelandia are the same genus. It just depends on where you live, to what you will call it. Panaeolus is used mainly used to describe the genus in the US.

Yes, they are very small and skinny. You wont get that much from a casing, but they are quite a bit more potent. They have a different effect than cubensis do.

I think its always fun to mess around with different substrates and species...it keeps it more interesting.  They are a little bit harder to grow because the mycelium is not as strong as cubensis in the line of beating off contams.

They're more thinky than visual.. divide cubensis dose in g. by 2 for cyanescens dose (at least, that's what the smartshop does)

more thinky than visual - what a crock of shit...there more potent that is for sure and they arent much more difficult than cubies to grow. Once youve tried them, you wont wanna go back to cubies.
