Is this True?

"It is possible to inject a just-not opened cap with some sterile water, then soak it back into the syringe and use that for the inoculation of a new jar..."

Taken from amazing-nature.com, describing the Golden Teacher strain. Has this been backed by any scientific or first hand experience? And if so, does it work?

in a manor of speaking...it's like doing a tissue culture, the spores arent matured yet but yes it can be done and is best suited for agar

I believe it would be a clone. The impression i am under, is that the spores arnt developed fully enough to develop until the cap opens, so as prisoner said, its taking a tissue culture.

Am i correct, that spores are "inactive" until the cap is opened?

I think until the cap is opened, and opened for at least a few hours no spores have even formed. That's why you can see the gills turn from brown to a purplish as the spores form. So it would be a tissue culture, so a clone would be produced. I can't really see how this would be easier than any other kind of tissue cloning and I'm sure it's no where near as potent as a spore syringe. I don't really see any reason to do it. Whatever floats your boat.
