It's not so much "where" you trip but all the other little details (weather, people w/ you, etc) that can make or break the setting.
Outdoor tripping is generally ideal as long as you feel comfortable and don't get overstimulated by other people/unexpected events. Just know your surroundings and you should be fine.

My first time tripping in the forest was an experience I'll never forget ahaha.
Me and my friends Sunflower and Johnny Ransom took around an eighth each and hiked to the Big Sur hotsprings. We got there around 4 and it was winter time so the sun set at 7, we hiked about 5 miles tripping, just me, two good friends, and Johnny's little Australian cattledog leading the way. We sang, told stories, and marveled at the absolute beauty of nature bathed in intoxicating orange light as the sun began to set. It was so beautiful I actually shed a few tears. I felt the infinite wisdom of Mother Gaia and Father Ouranos flow into my mind.
As we got about 3/4 miles away from the campground the sun was really low and it was almost dark. In the distance we saw a valley and in it small specks of flame erupted seemingly at random and the sky began to shine with thousands of beautiful stars and a nearly full moon. When we got to the campsite we found one of Johnny's friends who hapenned to be camping with her friends aswell and we spent the night sharing stories, singing, and drinking. When the night and trip was coming to a close we slept in our sleeping bags under the stars, and Ruby the little dog ran into my sleeping bag and curled up at my feet for the night.
But enough of my story, just make sure you have EVERYTHING you might want, plenty of food, water, stuff to smoke, an extra change of clothes, etc. And make sure youre with people you feel comfortable around. As far as doseage goes, I was fine with an eighth, and if anything I wish I had taken more. Good luck and have fun

Sooooo... how did it go?
-------------------- There is not a single utterance above that should be taken as truth, as they are words penned by a mad woman trapped within a mind spiraling downward.
"I think it's better to have ideas. You can change an idea. Changing a belief is trickier. Life should be malleable and progressive; working from idea to idea permits that. Beliefs anchor you to certain points and limit growth; new ideas can't generate. Life becomes stagnant. " - Kevin Smith
