Ideal place for first trip?

I've done more then my fair share of research of shrooms and I feel that I am more then prepared to experience them. (If your ignorant and close minded please skip over this part) I have this almost certain feeling that Nature is a intricate network of intelligent organisms working together to surpass any supercomputer or database ever created. I feel these psychedelics are the raw gateway into this network. That is why the people who appreciate these plants claim to have this sense of "one with everything" under the influence. **That is my theory** So with that said, within the next couple weeks I plan to go on a camping trip with a bud of mine who has tripped multiple times before. I picked a camping trip so if I do trip I can marvel in the beauty of nature. Try and understand even more. Im wondering if this camping trip would be a good idea seeing as I have never tripped before. Any comments? Suggestions?

I'm ignorant and closed-minded, so I skipped the majority of your post.
But yes, tripping in the woods is amazing. Just make sure you bring everything you could possibly want/crave while out there.

Hahahaa, nice. What dosage do you recommend? I here anywhere between 1 and 2.5 grams.

Since it's your first time, I would recommend two grams. That seems to be the good go-to dose for beginners. Although I would wait for someone else to chime in and back me up before taking my advice.

Better to go too little on your first time then too much. 2 grams sounds about right.
And yes tripping on shrooms in nature is probably the best place to do it.

Or the beach! Nothing beats the stillness of the ocean and the cool breeze while peaking.

my first trip was at one of those science hands on places where you can touch all the exhibits. was totally awesome.

Tips includes: 1) bring water, 2) bring something to smoke, 3) have a sitter, and 4) don't expect it to be anything like you think it will be.

I'd bring some oj or some fruity drink with a good amount of vitamin c. A lot of people claim this helps them trip harder but their is no real proof behind this. Frankly it works for me, but that could be because that's what i expect? Although I do find a mouthful of oj helps the shrooms go down :-)

nature is the place I always head to for insight, tripping or not. be sure to check the local hunting season for your area. i also thoroughly enjoy having a place where there's a creek, a wild forest and some open fields/mountaintop lookouts.
have fun and enjoy the journey

Wait, why should he look up the hunting season? Tripping and hunting doesn't sound safe unless its a really low dose. One year a few buddies of mine were going to trip on some LSD (I was 16 at the time, now 20), and i really wanted to trip with them! My problem was I had to go deer hunting in the morning because it was deer hunting season n that's what i do lol. Anyways, I ended up dropping a hit or two and tripping with my buddies for a few hours, going home, laying in my bed for an hourish then I went out hunting. I will say, trying to navigate only 50yards in the dark with a flashlight tripping isn't that easy lol. But I found a good spot to chill untin a porcupine snuck up on me and I had to move. Then a fawn came trotting by me and i could have shot it but I let it go so it can experience life more. Now I wasn't tripping that hard or I wouldn't of gone, or at least not with a loaded gun (which I forgot to load anyways) lol. All in all, nature and tripping is amazing! Hunting and tripping, not smart!!! And don't even concider drinking and hunting because I hate people like that. They abuse mother nature, litter more than anyone, extremely unsafe (I hear something over there, I'm gonna shoot at the sound) and strait retarded. They give hunters a bad name and make us all seem like a bunch of racist hicks who don't shower, wear the same overalls every day, illiterate, egotistical, blahhh lol. U get the idea! Respect mother nature, don't litter! We think we are hurting her, which we are, but in the end we are only hurting ourselves. "This ones to the green grass that's pushing up through the cracks of the pavement of that place we use to call outside" or something like that lol. Its from a wookiefoot song. Peace and love!

Great idea. You really don't want a bunch of hunters pissed at you for being loud or whatever and scaring off their game.
I could never kill anything while tripping. Hell, I barely kill insects when I'm sober.

it's all good
i've done most of my tripping deep in the forests of north georgia and hunting is a really big deal in those parts. i often like to trip in wildlife management areas because during the off season you'll be hard pressed to run into anyone at all (i don't like being around anyone besides me and my friends when trippin').
the last time i tripped in Georgia was during hunting season (error on my part) and had just eaten a couple of grams when i ran into a hunter and his wife setting up camp for the night. he was a super nice guy and he told me that he and his wife would be waking up early in the morning to try and track down a bear.
i asked him to tell me the general vicinity he'd be in and he pointed to a ridge a little ways off. i told him i'd stear clear of the ridge all together. made him happy to know i respected him and made me happy he was cool about it.
a beautiful and utterly mind blowing trip ensued shortly thereafter and by the time i woke the next morning he and his wife had already packed up camp and left.

Yeah I hear you! I'm from Minnesota so hunting and deffinately fishing are major hobbies of the vast majority of people that live here. Most are pretty nice, but there's the occasional drunk idiots I like to stay far away from lol. I have yet to have a real nature trip, I think I'll do it with this 4.3 grams of mushies lol. Maybe go camping or something? Lol

I was glad i did my first trip at home. It got really intense cuz i did a huge dose. None of us had any idea what we were doing. 2 grams is the ticket. Or if you have 1/8 oz, just take half. I will trip outdoors tonight for the very first time. Ive tipped 10 or twelve times already and only once experienced it outside. I started at the park and walked home once it started. The tree covered hills of my neighborhood looked like giant piles of skittles. It was awesome. tonight i will hike the trails behind my apartment.

I would say the ideal place for your first trip is your bedroom alone with the lights off at night.

I'd say auditory and visual stimulation are the two key ingredients to a successful trip. This will of course be greatly affected by dose, but for the most part they will matter. A beach, forest, mountainous campsite area, hilly countryside, a relaxing concert, and a comfy house are all good choices for a place. They all can provide visual entertainment or just simply be a place that's easy on the eyes.
For auditory, I would recommend something beautiful, creative, or mindblowing. Shpongle/OTT for Psytrance, Minus the Bear/Incubus/Red Hot Chili Peppers for Alternative Rock, Cosmic Gate/Tiesto/Above and Beyond for Trance, Nas/Bone Thugs N Harmony/De La Soul for Hip Hop and Rap, Olafur Arnalds/Explosions in the Sky/Sigur Ros/Justin Vernon for Chill and Indie. Throw in maybe some Fatboy Slim, MuteMath, and Gramatik. Just some suggestions to try out if you like
