Cow dung question (PICS ADDED)

Should there be any grey or light tan/brown splotches visible?

Matted grey slightly rhizomorphic growth seen on the top of the spawned dung, and tan/light brown splotches spotted on the sides.. Picture hopefully to follow.

This is after 4 days. Dry poo, pasteurized at 170F for 1.5 hours, spawned with brf 1/2 pints.

Thanks for any feedback.

Gray, Tan, Brown splotches does not sound good.

Healthy myc on dung/straw just beginning to colonize should be WHITE. Example below

Does it look like healthy dung colonization to anyone? The grayish stuff has me worried, but I?m thinking it?s mycelium on a dark background.. Any feedback appreciated.

I moistened it up with h2o2/water yesterday and mixed it up again. It looks dry because it's very thinly colonized, and adding water doesn't make it darker. So I'm thinking it's right on. :smile:
