I get a strange sense of euphoria when I am getting a sales pitch, or "taken care of" in general. If a salesperson speaks softly it's almost too much. Also if someone it putting something on me like a button or a ribbon, or pointing at my forehead. The pointing at my forehead starts where they're pointing and just flows down my back and spine, it's weird.

So I guess I can add ASMR to the list of acronyms of things that are wrong with me.
Have you ever seen those head massagers? If you have this ASMR thing you'll freak out I promise. Best left for a good peak on MDMA.

Love this thing... I imagine it duplicates the feeling of an animal getting petted.

I experience this occasionally, and I too thought this was more common than it is. The 2nd video with the lady whispering most definitely does it. Like others, hearing an epic piece of music for the first time really does it, and having an epiphany/sudden realization during day dreaming. When I was young and I would experience this it almost scared me the first few times it happened intensely, but I always enjoyed the sensation and was curious about it.
When I was about 7 years old I learned to induce a similar feeling/sensation, I would repeat the phrase "I can't believe I am me" over & over again in my head, and concentrate on that thought, after minute or two I would be immersed in a giddy blissful euphoric feeling.

A few months ago my buddy used one of those on me. and oh my my my . We came across one that was in a chill area at an outdoor party. I had no clue what it was at first, I had never seen them before. I was completely sober at the time besides some pot...Within a few seconds my eyes shut and I was practically trembling with euphoria, it felt remarkably similar to and was damn near on par to a rush I would get from an average dose of MDMA. The euphoria even lingered for a little while after....I need to invest in one of those.

I get this feeling exactly how it's described. Although it usually happens only occasionally and unexpectedly. I have to be in the right mindset I suppose. Usually when I am listening to a conversation and certain tones of voice. The videos give me a threshold effect but not as intense as when it just happens. It's a fuzzy feeling around the top and the back of my head. I get a similar sensation with music but it differs because with music the feeling seems to resonate from the top of my spine and down through my extremities. Very interesting though I never thought of trying to analyze the experience.
