Lycopodium Clavheum (Club Moss) How to grow?
    #1596317 - 05/31/03 03:20 PM (13 years, 6 months ago)

My buddy went to a hurbalist and got this stuff.. He was told that Club moss will make him trip "Better". Since he started taking it he has tried 8 HBWR seeds and 2g of mushrooms. Both were very powerfull trips..

Now i could just go buy some but is it possible to grow? And what would be the easiest way to find a Cutting Or whatever u grow it from.

Clavatum*

I don't know how it'd make you trip better, but some info:

Mosses and Ferns have interesting life cycles. As they reproduce mainly through sporangia and swimming sperm that require a wet medium for the sperm to swim.

Club moss is used for many things, including combatting dysentery, diuretic, combatting dropsy, bladder irritability, supression of urine, help with gout and scurvey, and tons of other things.

Dosage is 10 to 60 grains (of spores).

An interesting quote "They have such a strong repulsive power that, if the hand is powdered with them, it can be dipped in water without becoming wet. "

To grow it would require finding some and correctly identifying it, which i donno how to do, or know for sure if it's possible.

It's a moss. You'd have to find a flowering moss that has shot up spikes with sporangia on the top and then germinating the spores shaken from the sporangia, or the easier way would be to cup some of it and transplant it onto some soil and a rock or so and keeping it moist.

I'm gonna look in Docoter Duke's see if chemical constituents are listed.
