    #1584203 - 05/28/03 06:38 AM (20 years, 8 months ago)

awwww what a waste!!!!!
i last cheked this patch 6 days ago, and in the mean time these subs have started to rot! :frown:
can they rot this quickly? all the other shrooms in the area were still healthy???
or could have they been hit with a fungicide?

Nope. They were hit with too much rain.

They got old and too much rain rotted them.

yup!

new south wales (australia) has been hit with a ton of rain over the last few days.... i too encountered a heap of sub's today, but unfortunately 80% of them were heavily oxidised and rotting!

awww...what a shame

I found some that were just as dark, (but not that wet) and they were dryable...a lot less potent of course, but dryable in the end

I'd concur that these were past it though  :frown: if sodden they're gone....

one time i was picking with Niggy and we picked a baseball cap full of rotten subbs, he just ate the whole thing while repeating "GOOD FOOD GOOD FOOD" to try not to think of the taste, they ARE still active, but they taste raunchy and are very weak

A most excellent collection of P. subaeruginosa.

Kudos to you my frined.

In Seattle we can pick many times that same amount of P. cyanescens ever few days form just one locatin. AND many of us here in Seattle have numerous locations for collecting them, yet that is a cool score.
