you make your cakes start pinning by waiting til they are ready to pin and they will..
the blueing is probably a sign of it being dry more than anything at this point..
pics would be good

uh... 12 hours of light is prime. If your FC is just one solid tub with a lid then, YES... misting and fanning is a must. I would say to mist and then fan every few hours. If your FC is an SGFC and has holes drilled in each side including the top of the lid and bottom then i would just fan then every couple of hours. Your air pump will not give you enough fresh air thus the reason for fanning.
can you post some pics of this endeavor?

Evaporating moisture from the surface of the substrate is the number 1 pinning trigger. Dunk for 24 hours after the minimal 1 week of consolidation. Roll in verm, fan & mist as needed.

the dry verm on the cake helps cause evaporating moisture from the cake. = pins.

Manually fan, by taking the lid off your SGFC & waving it at your SGFC. Go buy an empty spray bottle. They're less than $1

No, it's not the same. Besides, you're going to have a bunch of water all over your floor/table where the tub is sitting.
Fully colonized cakes/bulk are extremely contam resistant. There's nothing sterile about where I fruit my tubs.

Dude, take some advice. TL is trying to help you, but you don't seem to care.

I'm starting to find that out. I've been doing a lot of overkill trying to keep everything sterile inm the fruiting area but I now realize that if I use enough spawn and it takes off fast enough it'll take care of itself when fruiting.
TL: I've got a few of your mono tub teks going - can you tell me what you do to prep your tubs as far as cleanliness goes when your prepping spawn & tubs? I've been wearing gloves, mask, hair net, wiping it all down with 70% iso in front of the hood, etc. But that shouldn't be overkill when prepping the tubs & spawn itself, right? I know you have consistent success, how do you do it?

TL's got this down and he's one of the few experienced members on this board who really takes the time to help n00bs. Pouring bottled water on them will more than likely create a contam vector and over saturate the cakes so they can't breathe.

If you use a spray bottle, you get a fine mist, which means there are tiny dots of water that will evaporate quickly. A large pool of water does not evaporate quickly. And as TL said, evaporation is a key pinning trigger.
Also, are you saying your SGFC sits in another tub? If so it isn't getting proper air flow.
You should really just follow PF tek to the letter. Too many people do things they think will help not knowing this is already a finely tuned system.

... sgfc sits on top of another tub filled with water with submersable aquarium heater set to 76 degrees
have an air pump attached thought that would keep air good
whats better for proper air flow
If your SGFC is made correctly (1/4 inch holes every 2inches, and with about four inches of hydrated perlite) all you need for proper air flow is for it to be slightly elevated, about three or four inches above what it's sitting on.

All this trial and error has been done before, you could easily skip it and follow the tek.
