So far...

Following is a fictional story I wrote.

So I began my great adventure almost a month and half ago. Just a small batch of B+. Ive done so much research since then I'm smacking myself now but every beginners got to learn.

I did the dunk and roll about a week ago and set my cakes in a small fruiting chamber (perlite, verm roll) and stuck those naughty bitche by my heater.

Let me just say this has truly been an amazing experience. I've never had so much fun in my life (well, at least growing shit). I started this for a certain purpose, and before I knew it I was going to the library reading all the books I could on this fascinating species. I've fallen in love with mushrooms. It's like they have a mind of their own. My girlfriend is constantly teasing me about it, how I treat them like my children. Its insane, yes, but I'm fascinated.

To the point, I had themin the chamber for days. Nothing was happening. I had a few cakes still in the jars that wouldnt seem to consolidate on the bottom due to the thickness of my substrate (def. gonna do that differently NEXT TIME [Oh boy!]). I had begun to lost hope. I had gone through all of this waiting just to be defeated in the end for using an flawed substrate tek! Blasted! I was thinking, its alright dude, you'll just learn andmake the next batch the BEST. Then, one morning, I notice something IN A JAR that I had completely started to ignore. OH MY GOD ITS TWO TINY MUSHROOMS. Yes, noteven in the fruiting chamber! Then, the very next day, the fruiting chamber burst to life! One cake currently has about ten pins coming up, a few others around five, and one lowly sole biding its time. Not to mention the FUCKING JAR thats growing FAT.

So in the end, it is true. The mushroom is a mind reader. It is an ass and a teacher. Ive never felt more rewardedin my life and its not even done yet!

My question is at this point, should I be spraying them with water occasionally (like once every 2 days) or should I just be fanning? And how many times would be optimum for fanning?...

Although its like theyre telling me what to do... would still like some knowledge from the pros.

What FC are you using? They need around 85%RH or higher so yeah i'd spray inside your chamber, but not directly on your cakes

Im using the one with perlite as a base. Evaporates and creates high humidity. I just worry with as long as theyve been in there the perlite will dry at some point. Thanks for the advice I'll wet the perlite not the cakes directly.

Yeah i seen in the growing vids that you just have to wet the perlite to get back all that good humidity ......and maybe spraying occasionally would be a good idea as i think best humidity levels would be around the 90% or maybe 100% humidity is best although im not 100% percent sure about how humid its supposed to be
