I have my wbs soaking right now and I won't be able to use my pressure cooker till day after tomorrow. Would it be ok to let them sit in their jars for a day before pc-ing? I have more wbs so if I can't do that I can always get some more.

Not a good idea, endospores are germinated and will fuck your WBS if u wait that long, i'd soak more WBS and PC after u soak, better safe trippin, then sorry sober WBS is too cheap to take that kinda chance

If anything the extra day will make it easier to kill the nasties.
The problem I see is that the birdseed will start to sprout if it hasn't been thoroughly heated.
Birdseed is cheap. It would probably be best just to start fresh.

I do it regularly, I have loaded jars after a soak and simmer and let them sit for 3 days, I'm using those jars in the next few days as spawn I noticed no problem. although I do a 90-120 min pc

EDIT:You can soak WBS as long as you want, so long as it doesn’t ferment, sprout, or rot. A day or 2, or even 3 is fine. There is no need to simmer. Sorry-You should always think before you post!!!

You WANT endospores to germinate. They're easier to kill when germinated.
Store wbs dry to keep it from sprouting. A few sprouts probably won't hurt much. I think there's a grow on here using malted barley which would be similar to sprouted birdseed.

Ive read somewhere that after the first round of endospores are germinated, it doesnt take long for the other endospores to start germinating after they are pc'd, if waiting too long, GERMINATING the endospores is the whole point, besides adding moisture, to soaking the WBS
