Damaged Hepa
    #15933354 - 03/11/12 01:38 PM (12 years, 10 months ago)

We finished our build today, when we realized that there was some damage to the filter. In the back the aluminum waves were bent some. I didnt think it was as bad as it was until I saw that the aluminum had ripped some of the fabric in the front. Is there any way to fix the problem or is it ruined like I assume it is, and I need to order a replacement?

the bent seperators are ok and can easly be bent back but you dont want holes in the actual hepa you could posibley use silicone and seal the hole just a idea..

We ended up buying another one, I was worried about the silicone creating turbulence in the flow.

My box is 2ft deep. What do you guys think? Should I keep it like that or take ten inches off when I get the new filter? How will that effect the flow?
