Is there any discoloration in the Mix? How wet is it where the mycelium wont grow? Is it starting to pin at all? Can you post pictures?

as others has stated, the dry verm layer at the top wont colinise.
a picture would help, if you relaly have a spot that isnt colinising, first make sure that your jars dont have the tinfoil still on them that would be blocking gas exchange.

It's like he knew that the foil was on there or something. They aren't gonna finish colonizing because of the lack of gas exchange. You should take the foil off and turn upside down. Then birth after they colonize.

Any exposed part of the cake not coered in mycelium has a good chance of getting contaminated. The fact that you have aluminum foil rubberbanded to your glasses implies that they may not be getting enough Gas Exchange (GE) and that is what halted (stalled) the growth. Are there any air holes poked in the foil?
Edit: also the shape of those glasses looks like will make for a hard time birthing those cakes. Looks like they curve back in a bit at the top of the glass. You may have to break those glasses to get the cake out.

yeah.. : )
ok ill try this, alltogh i didnt used this method before and still got 100 % coloniztion and a healty fruits..
yes, i did few holes and covered it with microspore tape
and these drinking cups are a bit curved at the top.. alltogh it quite tricky to get those out it is possible
as i say its a drinking cups so this tin foil is used for a top
thank you all for the info..

If you have a layer of dry verm at the top of your jars, the micropore tape is not really required and may actually hinder the gas exchange required. The dry layer of verm acts as a contaminate barrier while allowing gas exchange. I would remove the tape if you can. It may take a few days to a week for the growth to resume at normal speed, but it will fully colonize.
I had a batch of jars that did this to me once, but it turned out they consolidated while they finished the colonization. I had pinning in the jars just a day or two ofter they fully colonized.

I'd wait a week or so and see what happens, I had some jars that were slow to colonize and I took some of them out and just rinsed off the uncolonized parts and spawned them to bulk but I also left some to finish colonizing and they did in about 8 weeks. The one's I spawned to bulk are getting ready to fruit now and the one I waited I dunked and fruited but both worked fine. [url=http://files.shroomery.org/files/12-11/158728388-103_0628.jpg] [/url
