caps opening on pins

So this is my second flush. Didn't dunk this cake after first flush because pins were still growing when the first flush fruits were ready to be picked. Now the pins that were sprouting during the end of the first flush are opening really really early. Literally right when they pop up they are opening up. Not all are doing this but about 50% are. Anyone know whats going on? First time grow btw.

Weird...my first flush has about 3 that did that too right at the end of the flush. Maybe not enough water for those little guys? Its because you didnt dunk.

This is my simple religion. There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness.
There's a part of every living thing that wants to become itself: the tadpole into the frog, the chrysalis into the butterfly, a damaged human being into a whole one. That is spirituality.

I've been a little inconsistant with the light. Some days 24 hours, some 12. I am not at home much but I try to fan and mist them 4-5 times a day.

The light cycle isn't that important, its most likely due to low moisture content

This is the reason. The substrate is dry. You can soak/dunk a cake with pins.
At this point, set the cake in a saucer of water and let it soak it up to help finish the flush. RR
