Life appears like a game on shrooms ever had that vibe?
    #15929576 - 03/10/12 02:16 PM (11 years, 11 months ago)

Reflecting on some low level trips I have done, (I never trip balls intentionally.) I kind of felt that it was clear that life was some kind of game to be played.

Anyone else get that. I mean game in the true sense.. not to be taken over seriously and almost like a playful attitude should be maintained.

Well I don't tbh primal, it just seems to strip away the sober patterns and constraints a bit and makes me feel much more light about everything which is quite pleasant.

I do not feel it presents itself as a game with any negative connotation like a nihilistic view point or valueless. In fact it seems invigorating and makes me feel I want to play it harder, lol.

One of the many alternative views one can get that makes the whole experience from mushrooms so interesting and mind opening I guess.

It kind of flies in the face of so much about westernized modern life being about working yourself into the ground to accumulate more money and possessions than you actually need yourself to have a pleasant and comfortable existence. Which I guess is still a fairly egocentric thought.

"Game" obviously carries many layers of meaning, as there are many kinds of games, and the seriousness wherewith gamers play cover the whole spectrum, from insignificant to an accomplishment that will be written in history. I too have found it a change of perspective that is quite invigorating.

I think the reason from which this stems is that mushrooms, when expanding the mind, increases one's ability to see the details as they fall into the bigger picture. Life is a game of many things: survival, competition in business, success in the arts, special insight in the fields of knowledge, favor in one's social network, etc. With a larger field of vision, one is given the advantage of seeing the kind of obstacles in front of him more clearly. Furthermore, there is what I can only call sovereignty that someone feels while they are high on mushrooms, which results in an uncanny depth of acceptance. With this peace, mixed with an advantageous view of the world, it seems reasonable to me that one would feel light-hearted or the sense of fun along with an increase in motivation. Isn't this always the case? The winner enjoys the game - its fun. Not so to the one who's losing, if he at all cares about his performance. And stupid is the one who think he's winning while he loses.

On the other hand, the gods are in the heavens shouting down that after all decisions are made, all words are said, and all actions are done, there will be a reckoning when the judgement is called. There will be some winners, and there will be some losers. Too much goodness has be spread out unequally among the rich and the poor, the healthy and the dying, the great and the weak. It will all come back into balance when the scales are weighed. Forgive the metaphors, but let me say this, that although life is a game, I really think parts of it are fun and we should not cry every time we fall, but some parts of it are frightening and awesome, and only a fool or dumb beast would not cry if he cannot stand.

I def feel like I take life less serious since I started tripping, even now a days when I don't trip on the regular anymore, it just feels like game or a  joke, something to laugh at and enjoy as opposed to taking it deadly serious. Although if it is a game it makes sense, some people play a game lightheartedly and others take it very serious.

holy shit the first time i tripped shrooms i felt like i had "won the game" of life. i felt like my past life was over and i had somehow passed onto a higher dimension of existence which contained a totally different game with a new set of rules i had to master. i LITERALLY felt like life was a game where you could "advance" to higher levels until you finally "win the whole thing," kinda like a videogame.

pretty fucking mindblowing. in reality, it was probably my rational mind's way of classifying my "ego loss" experience into something i could conceptualize. You could say that once the illusion of ego is obliterated there's really no more game to be played...a victory of sorts, perhaps?

Anyway, I find this thread fascinating...

Life is a test by the aliens, consciousness is like an onion, it has many layers, when we die, the whole thing is peeled and we go to the next world or life. When i had shot the 4-aco-dmt, i overdosed on information so i started from the inside and worked my way.

Thats as much as i can download from my 40mg iv 4-aco-dmt trip. The most intense experience i think possible.

Great (ta). Being great, it flows out;
Flowing out means far-reaching;
Being far-reaching, it is said to return.

It's just a shot away..

i feel that way when im sober, life is a big game, take risks and reap in the rewards, its not a game of points, but a game of well being, the goal is to be as happy as possible.
