Help with WBS jars
    #15926180 - 03/09/12 07:12 PM (12 years, 10 months ago)

Hey guys,

been on here for a little bit, and wanted to get some advice, so prepped some WBS with Doc's WBS tek, and I PC'd them and they sat in the PC for about 37+/-,  and when I went to inoculate the WBS seemed hard and not wet at all, is this bad?

It clumped when I went to shake before Inoc, and it just didn't seem like it was suppose to be, if this is normal, please advice

thanks a lot,

C

Did u do the finger nail test before you PC'd them? Pretty reliable test to find out if they were hydrated enough.

you don't want the grain to be wet. it should roll around on the inside of the jar easily.

Here's RR's notes on cultivation<<< its alot of info to sift through but i've found it to be the most reliable source,

Thats Agar's as well, his is a little bit more organized, any and all questions in general cultivation are answered between the 2 of them!! Good luck!!

Just a guess but I think you have the same problem I have. Cracked corn in the mix. I will never buy any more birdseed with cracked corn. The seed turns into a dry looking solid block once the corn drys up. Not to mention it made the whole house smell like a barn when I pc'ed it. Idk if it will be successful or not I just tried to innoc 4 jars the other night but so far I don't see anything. Hoping for the best but next time I am definitely trying something different.

It was totally that fucking cracked corn, I got rye berries now.

Thanks,

C
