Lots of little pins

My first MS bulk casing is going fantastic. Tons of pins throughout..some places bigger clusters than others. A few really aggressive fruits are showing up and those will be cloned for future grows.
My questions are:
After these aggressive fruits open up and it's harvest time, does that count as the first flush?...even if there are only a few of them in comparison to the rest of the pins.
From what I've read, 'only pins with black heads are aborts' So I'm confused about whether I should pick these big aggressive guys when they're ready and continue waiting for these healthy pins to form.
Or should I dunk the casing after I pick the big aggressive ones? (I've also read that dunking healthy pins will abort them...and I don't want that at all...there are TONS of them)
Thanks in advance for any help.

Yeah pick em as they mature, just before or as the veil breaks and before they drop spores - keeping spores off the substrate will extend it's life...

Alright thanks,
So when is the 'flush' complete? When there are no more healthy pins around?

You can wait till the whole flush comes in, or pick as they're ready. You can dunk pins for up to 24 hours w/out a problem. Bulk substrate only requires a 4 hour dunk, so they'll be fine dunked.Quote:

Sometimes you won't ever get a full distinct flush. They'll just keep fruiting. It's all genetics.

ive had both. both ms. i cloned a massive fruit on some agar, so i hope to get all uniform flushes. one thing ive noticed is that when u pick them as the are ready instead of all at once, you get a lot of aborts. just something ive noticed.

When harvesting your fruits, cut them at the base with a sharp knife or scalpel if you're looking for additional flushes. That way you won't damage the substrate.
Good Luck!
