First bulk grow and I may have messed up the rye already,

I used the RR method of preparing rye berries and loaded my quart jars, then used two layers of Tyvek over the lids, pressure cooked them at 15 psi for 100 minutes, and then inoculated them with a spore syringe in a RR glovebox. I put micropore tape over the inoculation holes in the tyvek. This was eight days ago and yet I can see no visible growth yet, they have been in a room with natural light, the first five days they were at 69 degrees and now are at 75, should I be worried I cannot see growth yet? How long before I should worry? Also, is sclerotia really as easy to produce as it seems?
I also want to say thank you to RogerRabbit and Hyphae, I have been studying on here for a little while and you two have supplied me with tremendous amounts of information to get started with.

stones are that easy. Just inoculate & forget.

I am gonna assume you gave the jars a good 12-24 hours to cool down in between PCing them and innoculating them? If not, you probably killed all the spores.

I let them cool overnight in the pressure cooker, they were cool to the touch when I shot them, and I put 1.5 cc's in each of them. Also, any idea why some grains look almost wet after pcing while the vast majority look dry?

You're supposed to shake the grains when you take them outta the PC. That will redistribute the moisture.

I did shake them, I was just wondering if anyone happened to know why this happened. I like knowing the how and why of things.

i think it just varies on how the rye looks some might look dry but are still hydrated. After i boil the grain and let it dry usually the rye on top looks dry and when i mix it up the others look damp, could be that? As long as you didnt over boil and burst all the kernals you should be fine. Did you shake the jars after inoculated? If not, it could just be growing under the surface. Also 69degrees seems kinda a lil low, might of slowed progress a little bit as well. The first time i tried rye berries i forgot to soak for 24hrs, it took like a month to colonize lol.

You don't shake the jars after inoculating w/ MS. You'd be separating the spores. Therefore, making it take longer for them to germinate & your jars to colonize.

i always thought that it was best to spread around the spores? more areas for it to start and spread. Kinda like doing a G2G? i didnt know it acually slowed the process down.

it does. The only thing I shake after inoculation is my G2G jars. Because I don't shake them after that.
