Discoloring of P. cubensis Golden Teacher I noticed in pics of this strand that once "bloomed" they are light brown or golden in color. My first flush looked like that as they were coming up, but after the below three circumstances, the color started to get darker and darker and eventually, almost look black. BTW I'm using the PF Tek. Tried my best to follow it step for step.
1) one day of temperature change in my fruiting chamber. Temperature change went from 75 to 68 degrees 2) the whole fruiting process my fruiting chamber humidity levels were between 75-80% 3) letting them grow large, at least 3inch each.
Given the situation above, my question is:
A) What effects other than color does this have on my mushrooms?!? Potency, Ease of digestion
B) One huge one (fat at the stem, and large cap) did turn black. Is this one safe to dry out and consume? Will I still get the same trip or are the trips different?
C) Are all the other ones safe to dry out and consume?
D) When exactly am I supposed to pick them off of the cake?
E) Is it true that the larger you let them grow, the less potent they become?
F) Whats with the fuzzys at the end of my stem. Are they normal and okay?

*Thank you for all useful responses. **Thank you "shroomery" for this community and website. ***And thank you God for natural highs ****Thank you shroomery and members for continuous perfection of the process to achieve these natural highs. ******Let us all soar over and beyond to find ourselves and the truth.

A - the temp dropping to 68 for 12 hours isn't going to do anything, but slow the grow a bit.
B - The black is probably spores. Either way, it's a mushroom that's safe to eat.
C - they look good to me. have fun
D - Right before the veil breaks for maximum potency.
E - refer to D
F - mycelium. Yes, it's completely normal.
