Center or tip? (need cacti advice)
    #1591219 - 05/29/03 11:28 PM (13 years, 6 months ago)

hi, i am seriously looking into buying a san pedro cactus from bouncing bear botanicals. I am actually planning on getting the three for 65$ dollar deal.

is one cutting enough for a decent experience? i dont plan to grow it.

also should i get a tip or a center piece?

If there is any good advice or information you can give me, please do!

thanks.

My ferret says that you should get one about the length of your fore-arm... not sure how much a "cutting" is (they grow natively around here, just go down the street and get it free!). Something you don't here very often is that you can smoke the skin, but you shouldn't mix it--pot and san pedro in my ferret's experience led to apathy.

Good luck eating the stuff too... it's the most god-awful taste I've ever experienced. But it is worth it if you eat it, very nice mild headed high with cool relaxed visuals.

If you want any more info just PM me.

That is interesting  I have never heard of mescaline being smoked before. But doesn't that take a shit load of material? How do you prepare it?

Can be as potent as peyote? I dunno but my pedro experience wasn't all that great, next time I'm thinking at lease 1.5' maybe 2'.

Smoking it produces a very good, mild trip. I usually do it when I don't have any weed, like I said san pedro grows down the street. It doesn't take a shitload--mescaline is most concentrated in the skin of san pedro.

I've prepared it a few ways. One is to skin the cactus with a large knife and leave it outside on a black t-shirt to dry (especially during summer). If that isn't an options (it works well for long term storage) you can just load it in wet in a pipe/bong and get it dry with the lighter while smoking at the same time. It usually takes a couple hits before it will light. It also leaves a very thin white ash in you bowl, with a pleasant taste (as opposed to eating it...gags). Try 4-5 bowls (I know, that a bit more than bud, but hey...) and you'll notice a head change.

Good luck.
