Hello, I'm wondering if these jars look like they're supposed to.

Here's a photo of the substrate before inoculation.


And here's one week post-inoculation.

How come you don't have a lid on the one? They look good other than that, you should see some growth any day now.

They look like glass jars, Pint size maybe, with PF tek, BRF?

what is happening with your foil?  It changes from one photo to the next? and a missing band?

My apologies, they are BRF cakes, PF Tek. Three pints and one 1/2 pint. They are Cubensis GT's. I left lids off of two of the jars to experiment with gas exchange, should I recap them? The foil on the first picture was from before sterilization, it was removed afterwards.

Don't apologize anyone can see those are BRF jars. Yes you should put the lids back on. Having the lids off will allow to much fresh air to reach the mycelium once it starts colonizing and will most likely cause pinning way before the substrate is fully colonized. Also the substrate will dry out with the lids off. Just follow the PF tek to a T and you will be golden :awesomenod:
