Are My Spores Still Viable?
    #15909709 - 03/06/12 04:05 PM (12 years, 10 months ago)

I have a spore syringe that's been sitting around for about 6 weeks. Its generally cold in the house, but there are times I think the temperature has gone up to like 80. What do you think?

if this were in nature do you think that the spores would survive.  And If not how in the world do they keep finding each other and swapping DNA to produce wild mushrooms of all kind.  i really don't know else to explain this question...... You tell me:goodluck:

They should still be good. Did you keep them in the dark? If they aren't germinated in the syringe already and you think they aren't viable you can force hydrate them by using a rubber band to keep pressure on the syringe plunger. There is a thread about doing this that I saw before you might have to search for it though.

It's fine.

Syringes will last six weeks no problem.

Dry prints can last for years.

Yes. Your good there bro. Good practice to keep in the Reefer when not in use though.
