Foil is the way to go. If you will vacuum seal them with a desiccant packet (I know it sounds like overkill) and then store them in the freezer, they will have a very, very long shelf life.

Print in small baggie. It is sterile and it scrapes easy.

I've stored them for over a year with a jar inside a jar. I put some desiccant in the bottom of a large, widemouth jar and then put the mushrooms in a smaller jar that nests inside the large one. Then I screwed the large jar's lid down tight. That was without a freezer. That will work if you have a small amount of mushrooms and no access to a vacuum sealer, which would be far superior.

I'm just hypothesizing here, but I can imagine heating the jars up to around 140 degrees fahrenheit and then assembling the whole thing and screwing the lid down. Then, once it's cool, add it to the freezer. That would give you a vacuumish seal :shrug:
