Not to derail, but why? My understanding is that hemp and hemp derivatives are expressly lawful and not classified as marijuana under federal law.

I think I agree with you, ballsalsa. I would like a little clarification from Enlil on why he said "yes."

THC and its analogues have been deemed depressants, among other things. The legality doesn't come into play IMO. For clarity, HHC is almost certainly a federally controlled substance which would also make a "yes" answer necessary.

Can a mass shooter use "under the influence of magic mushrooms" as an "insanity" defense in court?

Not a 100% defense that would render him not guilty. He could, depending on the state, seek a 2nd degree or manslaughter based on diminished capacity, but none of that would matter in a case like this. There is no chance of anything like that having any positive effect on his outcome.

I'm very sad and also in shock about this and my entire lifes been changed. But my friend committed s*icide possibly while tripping.... I wasnt around him when it happened and it was days later since i saw him last. am i legally responsible? Also should I morally blame myself. The ones he took may or may have not have come from me.

You are probably not legally responsible unless you misled him in some way. As far as morally responsible...That's beyond the scope of my expertise, so my opinion would be purely anecdotal.

No sir I told him they were a strong strain (thrasher pe) and not to take the entire 8th. It really fucking sucks I know I've had terror trips where I lost my mind entirely. But this is why I dont trip around weapons. Thank you for your input and fast response. Your doing good work here. God bless

Can a confession be rejected?
I have a friend in jail for a weird situation. Her friend called and said he had crashed his car and needed a ride so she went and picked him up. A couple mins later police pulled them over and arrested them both. It turns out the guy had been doing a drug deal and ended up shooting three people in a crowded parking lot, drove off and crashed his car but escaped from the police until they caught him getting into this girls car.
According to her he told them she didn’t know anything but they’re saying they don’t believe that and are holding her and charging them together.
I’ve never heard of this and kinda think this guy is full of shit and didn’t try to cover her, but idk so here I am

Well I guess I should say statement.
If somebody claims sole responsibility for a crime, can they really say they don’t believe the person?
It’s just an odd situation to me, especially since the girl they’re charging along with the shooter was definitively not involved until after. They have surveillance of the shooting, and the police were initially chasing him while he was alone in his own car prior to crashing.

If she knew he was leaving the scene of a crime she's an accessory. Who is to say she didn't know without a trial?

Well it wasn’t a crime he just said that he had crashed his car.
But I guess what’s throwing me off is I’ve known of a couple situations where two people got caught with drugs on them, and one person said “that’s mine too they’re just holding it for me” and the police were just like oh ok fine then they can go and you’ll get stuck for both bags.
I guess it’s a little different and prob really up to the officers discretion too.

I recently applied for an open position with my current employer. I interviewed and received positive feedback that I would be considered for next round of interviews.
After a week I received a rejection email. When I asked for feedback as to why the recruiter did not provide any.
Subsequently I learned the hiring department was going through a reorg and was forcing employees to reapply to keep their job.
I also subsequently learned that the person who was eventually placed in the role is of the same Indian caste, hindu sect and speaks the same dialect as the hiring manager.
Is there a case for discrimination? (I am a white male)
I have also seen these types of positions posted for H1B renewals, where there is no intention of hiring someone else but they post it for 2 weeks to meet a requirement. Is this practice illegal?

I have 4 parcels of property that are side by side I’m looking to buy. The city owns them. How do I go about this?

I have no clue. Immigration law isn't my bag. As far as not hiring you, there's not much you can do. It's very hard to prove discrimination without some long pattern to show.

I applied for disability almost 2 months ago. I hear that nearly everyone gets rejected the first time. I was told it can take a year to be approved or rejected. Is there anything I can do to increase my odds of receiving benefits the first time? Thank you
