I had some dumbass roommates 5 months ago. Cops showed up at my crib looking for them. They have bench warrants for missing court dates. They asked to do a quick search, I declined. (mush cult) They're recorded residential addresses are still the house I live in. They said they will keep coming back till they find them. Is there any likelihood they could get a warrant and come go through the house? We had a friendly conversation, I explained they don't live here anymore. I'm not too worried about it, but it's on my mind.

Believe it or not, in modern times it can still be difficult for the police to find someone.  That's especially true if the people are off grid, no bills in their name, no car registration, etc. etc.

And you might be shocked to know that people will lie to the police when trying to help someone evade arrest or service of process.

There's a good chance they'll be back, unless and until they find who they're looking for.  It depends on how much they want your former roommates.

I don't know enough to say whether they will come up with a warrant, but it doesn't matter.  Police are coming to your house.  Does that make you want to clean up for a bit?

They might also watch the house at some point to see if they can spot the people coming and going.  Again, if they have the time and depending on how bad they want these people.

Some local jails have websites that let you search for inmates in real time.  If you can find a good one, it might be worth checking daily until you see their names come up.  Once they get arrested, you could probably relax a little.

What website is best to see English translations of Mexico's federal laws regarding Hemp and Cannabis? What about state laws in Veracruz?

I've been constantly harassed by a lady who keeps saying shit like I'm in danger and people are trying to hurt me. Yada yada yada. I've blocked her and she continues to try and call and leaves messages. I just barley turned on my backup prepaid phone which gets no spam and she is already texting and calling that number. I've called the police and they don't want to say anything to her. I've been so rude to this lady and she keeps continuing to spam my phone with bullshit. This has been going on for like 6 months.  What kind of legal action can I take against this lady.  It's an extreme hassle to change numbers and constantly try to block her Everytime I change a phone device. Is it possible to get a restraining order to get her to stop? State of Texas

You may be able to get a restraining order.  It depends on your state's definition of harassment.  If you do seek one, be sure to look up the statute of your state to determine what theory you're using.  She's not actually threatening you, but she is engaging in a course of harassing conduct.

How is she getting your new numbers?

I gave them to her when I first met her. I was supposed to be one time deal, but she keeps on keeping on. Wish I would've never given them to her

Called for jury duty in a state I don't live in at an old address. Can I get in trouble if I just ignore it?

Not in trouble, but there's usually a form you can return telling them that so they won't call you again later.

I don't want to implicate myself in any crime with the form. I think ignoring it is best.

In your professional opinion how smart/safe is it to have a shroomery account while actively cultivating? Do you think shroomery is a constant LEO target?

I don't see how having an account creates any risk at all.  If you post pictures of your grow or talk about it, that creates a tiny amount, but even that is very unlikely to lead to getting caught.  This site's been around a long time, and I've never heard of a single user being caught because of this site.

Why not just tell them you moved so they can take you off the list of potential jurors, it's that simple and you don't have to tell them where you are,  they could careless anyway,  just call them and say you moved and that will be the end of it.

PS. I'm not a lawyer,  but have been a juror in more than one state. It's when you ignore them that they get pissed!!!

I live in a state which requires 1 party to record. If I am in my home and someone who doesn't live there records our arguments, can that be used against me later in court?

It was between me and my now ex.

If it can be used against me, can I claim I was provoked to make certain statements?

It probably can be used in courts, but how is someone who isn't there recording you?

Sure, but he mentions 1 party consent state, which leads me to believe that the ex knew about it.  Still, he said a third party was recording.  What does this mean, exactly?  Did the third party help the ex record?  Or was the third party doing the recording and the ex knew about it?

I'm not sure if any of this matters or not, but I can see several scenarios where this could be criminal and several where it wouldn't.

I work for a company based in New Jersey where we build basketball courts I get paid 17 dollars an hour and frequently work over 40 hours a week but my employer doesn't pay us time and a half for anything over 40 hours a week, I was looking at the laws and in new Jersey but had trouble clearly understanding them because it says you have to make under 23,XXX.XX dollars a year to qualify for overtime pay except for certain fields like physical laborers (my Job) so I'm not sure what's going on here? Is this legal?
