Hello,
I was wondering if after having the Magic Mushrooms experience you have felt emotionally distanced from your family or relatives?

Well tripping has actually allowed me to become closer with my family. The experience has showed me how much I should cherish that connection so I've made an effort to do so.
In some sense, I can see what you mean. It's weird that my family knows nothing about something that has affected my life so profoundly. If you feel the same, you should do what you can to make up that gap. Trust me, it feels good, and will make your trips that much better.

quite the contrary. after the experience i feel more connected than ever. however, during the experience i have also experienced disconnection and connectedness, but the disconnection was never as high as the connection.
the distance is there to let you know you need to get connected my man.

Last night when I was trippin my friends were driving me around and we went down this street with massive trees along either side for quite a ways. I remembered that my mom used to take my sister and I for drives down that street in the fall because it was so pretty. I suddenly had the urge to call her and wondered when the last time I spoke with her was.
I then had this huge desire to share my trippin experience with her. Like these guys said, there's a distance that needs to be mended. Is your family open to this kind of stuff?

Well maybe there IS in fact something that makes you feel like you're seperated from your family. Just that you only recognized it on shrooms

Tripping showed me that regardless of who your family is, it's your family. The only other group of humans that relatively give a shit about you in this one big bowl of human soup.
I came to cherish and respect them more..
